PREAMBLE In just over 6 months we will begin to negotiate wage and benefits improvements for the OPSEU-represented workers at Ontario College of Trades. If you're an OPSEU member at the College you have the right to influence our bargaining priorities with your opinions and your votes. Taking this survey is the first of a few things we all need to do together if we're going to be effective this year. We need a large percentage of our total numbers. There are 153 OPSEU-represented OCOT workers as of Monday, April 30th. An 80% response rate 122 surveys completed. If we can show the employer we have >80% of the membership's opinion, the voice of our elected Negotiations Team will be much stronger. LOGISTICS There are 125 questions total: Part 1: 7 general demographic questions Part 2: 7 questions about work-life balance Part 3:18 questions designed to understand your level of job satisfaction Part 4: 30 questions seeking your input on which monetary demands (wages, health & dental, post-retirement benefits, vacation, etc.) we should prioritize Part 5: 60 questions seeking your input on which non-monetary demands (better rights for contract workers, indemnification from legal liability, better access to alternative working arrangements, etc.) Part 6: 3 questions on the effectiveness and accessibility of this survey.
