OPSEU Local 503 is a composite of over 600 members across the Ontario Public Service (OPS-Unified), the Broader Public Service (BPS) and Skilled Trades Ontario (STO).  Our members live, work and organize in Toronto and across the Greater Toronto Region, in addition to members whose positions are based in Toronto but who work in field offices throughout the province.

As a member you are supported by over 130,000 fellow workers and are able to collaborate and work with volunteer stewards, full-time staff reps, and legal teams to find solutions and build a stronger province!

The goal of the panel is to help build OPSEU activists understanding of the connections between the fight for Justice for Grassy and Indigenous rights more generally and the agenda of "fast tracking" major oil/gas/mining/transportation projects at the expense of Indigenous communities and the environment on one hand, and their corporate austerity agenda to subsidize big corporations while cutting funding for health care, education, housing and social services - and eliminating good union jobs - for all our communities.
